I had the same problem. At first they would try to go up and eventually make it. Then not at all.
It is a small plastic part that has probably turned to dust. (At least mine did) My husband had just
gotten out of the hospital when this happened and I replaced it myself on both sides. I ordered them
from Florida from a Corvette catalog. I did this several years ago and I think the company name is Ecklers. The part is white plastic, about 3\4" long and round. It is a
bugger to get to but this will make it work like new again. The ordering department will talk you
through the installation. THey were wonderful. RuthAnn

You need to look for a vaccum line off or broken or damage and if you need parts here is a place to call it is a place that only sells GM parts only and the name is schram auto & truck parts and the number is # 1-800-292-1032

How *** I change the headlight on a 1988 Buick

you do not need to remove the lens assembly , only the bulb is replaced, you may need to loosen the battery if its in the way. if i remember correctly there is a black ring just a quarter turn then bulb pulls out. if no ring its just a quarter turn with the bulb and it out

MY BACK LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHT IN WINDOW IS OUT, I REPLACED ALL RED/WHITE/BLUE FUSES, FRONT HEAD LIGHTS COME ON, FLASHERS ARE WORKING, BACK LIGHTS COME ON ONLY WHEN HEAD LIGHTS ARE ON, BUT WHEN I BACK UP...

Most likely culprit is the headlight relay under the screwed down cover on the fuse box. It is spendy but if you can find a used one in any W124 or W126 body style mercedes they are the same. it controls all lights as it also controls the bulb out indicator. The neutral safety switch would not allow your car to start if the lights wouldnt come on. Also replace all aluminum type fuses with newer copper barrel type fuses to get rid of any electrical gremlins due to corrosion.

1988 buick lesabre starter problem

It's probably either got a bad connection on the starter, or the wires to the starter are not hooked up properly. If you have head lights and lights and its ticking its definetley not your battery.
