Grinding noise between 0mph and 10mph

My 2004 Hyundai santa fe experiences a grinding noise between a complete stop with the brakes on and 10mph when the engine is cold. HELP!

In May of 08 we took our 04 santa fe in to the dealer for the same problem, which of course they couldn't hear. I'm worried it may be the transmission, and would like this figured out before the 100K warranty is up.

Had a very similar symptom on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe and I made a video of how I diagnosed and fixed the problem.

Took the SantaFe in for another problem and mentioned the grinding/rattling noise again. Dealer says noise is part of exhaust, a pipe within a pipe, and they are touching/vibrating when pipes are cold. It shouldn't cause any problem; only happens before car is warmed up. They can replace the part for $1800. btw, brakes have recently been replaced.

It is absolutely your brakes. I think it's because your brakes are worn or someone didn't put them on right the last time you got them changed. Get them done now or your going to regret it. I"m specializing in brakes right now. Hope this helps?!

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe? squeaky noise frnt driver side wheel

I do think the same way. If the pads look flat and not so worn have the rotor turned to eliminate the squeaksyou are encountering

Grinding noise from front right. rotors seem okay and I can turn the rotor with ease. Is it the wheel bearing?

Does it happen all the time or when brakes are applied? Usally a bad bearing will cause a growling noise. I would check both the brake pads on the right side. Often the inner pad will wear off, then you have metal against metal, causing a grinding noise.

Brakes grind all the time, abs vibrates when at a complete stop

I would take it in to a shop and have a free brake inspection done. They will give you a list of things wrong , and you can go from there.
