There is a replaceable contact set on the back of the ignition tumbler. You need to replace it.

How to remove sunvisor clip on a 1997 Honda civic dx?

I have a 96 Honda Civic and my clip broke. Finally got a new one and could figure it out. Finally did. Rotate the visor out of the way. Rotate the clip 90 degrees CCW. Gently pry down on the clip and remove. Installation of the new clip is opposite the removal.

I have a 90 honda civic it was running fine then died and wouldnt start. I am getting no spark, i changed the coil and the ignition modual but i still have no spark

Have you checked the ignitor on the car some of these have one mounted right next to the coil and they will stop it from getting fire. Also check cam and crank sensors and ensure they are sending out a signal.

91 Civic DX cutss off after start.

I own several cars, and do repairs all the time. And one thing i know it can be just about anything. But narrowing it down from what your saying, your solution is on the right path. I would start out with the least expensive work. Test your injectors, sparkplugs, and alternator for voltage. Go get a volt meter. or take it to auto zone or murrays they do free diagnostics on all those parts. Always check before you replace. Than replace the weak links. Which will usually take you to another component. Do sparkplug change, oilchange, flush your radiator if it leads to it--the whole works. it's normally a minor problem.

if you hear a click and it's off-it's part of the ignition and starting system. At somepoint there isnt enough juice to get the fuel and spark to combust.

if you have battery life before turning car on-- check your alternator. YOu could possibly be running off your battery. After a while the car starts and the alternator charges up from the battery and allows it to run. but if it's dead than you will have starting problems and possible shut off at random times.
