Question about 2004 Chevrolet Impala
My daughter has a 2004 Impala and called me this morning to tell me that the car is saying "security" and it won't turn off. It turns off when she shut the car off once she got to work. I don't know if this means something is wrong with it or if she received a security feature that she was unaware of when she purchased it 2 weeks ago. Is there a switch we can reset or does it need to be taken in to a dealer to be shut off? Please can someone help me?
Most of them can be reset by disconnecting the batter for 24 hours. yu will loose any info stored in the car. Have her disconnect the negative terminal first the black one. Then have her disconnect the red terminal the possative one. leave it alone for 24 hours this should in most cases solve all her problems.
