There is a plastic lock that is on a spring. It is pushed in and then twisted simlar to a light bulb...that *** on the side sometimes breaks and will need close observation to see if it is missing. If you don't see any *** on the side...probably is what happened. It will need to be replaced.

Try pulling the center section off steering wheel.Think there is a round piece in there.Unscrew it being sure not to loose pieces,clean it up,and put back together.Works on a grounded circuit,may just needs somthing adjusted.

The horn works off "Ground". Your horn wire is grounding out somewhere.

Anti theft on 2006 Impala is causing horn to honk continuosly and keeping it from starting


unplug wire from horn and check relay or fuse it will still cause the car to start but your horn wont work may have a short in your horn,

2000 Tahoe Horn broken


You can remove the horn relay and use a Ohm meter and check the resistance between the horn relay connector terminal No. 86 (Black Wire) and ground. If the ohms are less then 5 ohms replace the horn relay. There are a lot more tests but as Polarcycle states you can do what he suggested other then I believe you have two horns in this vehicle.

It sounds like my old chevy that I had
I took the steering wheel front part off and had to tighten the connection .
