Your in for a real treat.... i had a similar problem with mine, the stock gm wiring is terrible, your best bet pull the wiring apart in the front of the car and inspect each wire splice they tend to corrode and once it gets to a certain point it wont allow any electricity to pass, i ended up rewiring the entire headlight system myself. you can get the wiring diagram from the haynes manual. good luck

1997 Chevy Cavalier. Bulbs/Fuses are good. Weird Headlight issues.

It could be a ground problem, or the dimmer switch. I would check for power and ground at the lights with them unplugged and then take a look at the dimmer switch.

Low beam or running lights come on when car is started but when you turn headlights on these lights go out and the other two headlights turn on. When you put them on high beam all four lights go out....

the lights that turn on when the car is started are the driving lights that are common in newer cars,, once you select the lights on the switch, these will turn off and the low beams take over,, High beams with a 4 light system is normal for what your describing , if they go out,, you either have a relay problem or the switch itself is going out,

Headlights do not turn on my chevy cavalier. replaced light bulbs and high beams stay on but no low beams.

Sounds like your dimmer switch is stuck on or broken/worn out. Sometimes you can get it back by clicking your high beam switch in & out many times. If it frees up & switches back to lowbeam it will buy you time before you need to replace the dimmer switch. If not you will need to replace it right away.

1997 Cavalier: no low beams or dtrl on 1997 chevy cavalier.high b...

There's a wiring connector located below the battery box, you can see it better from under the car. Check to see if any of the wires coming out of the connector are green from corrison, if so carefully splice in new wire(s) to repair, this is caused from the drippage from the battery tray.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

Low beams on '99 chevy half ton pick up don't work

It is possible both low beams are out and you didn't notice until the second one failed. Have you tried to reset the lights with the dashboard switch?
