Question about 2000 Chevrolet Astro
I know two different people with Astro vans that have a hard time starting when it's raining outside or sometimes even if it's damp outside. Has anyone heard of this issue before? One van is a 96, the other is a 2000. I've tried wiping out the distributor and replaced cap and rotor. I always manage to get them running but the next time it's damp out they have problems again. Any ideas?
I have a 2000 Astro had the same troubles.I saw that the sides of the coil were burned looking. In between the bar that goes around it. This started around 110K It would run badly when wet or high humidity. Then throw up the check engine lite.Put on a new coil so far the problem has no reocured.
