Question about 2004 Toyota Sequoia

1 Answer

2003 Toyota Sequoia won't start.

Drove the vehicle this morning and it started fine. Stopped home from work mid morning and parked int he garage for an hour and then went to start the Sequoia to go back to work, and it would not start. It just clicks. Have been charging the battery for several hours now and it appears to be taking the charge fine, but it still just clicks when attempting to start.

I am thinking the starter solenoid might be out ? Thoughts ?

It was in fact the battery cables. Thanks for the tip - although we had to bring it in to figure it out.

Have you gotten this problem fixed yet? If not what is the condition of the battery cables( corrosion free)? Also how old is the battery? One dead cell could possibly cause this problem.

Toyota camry drove home and parked and now won't move? NO ****** ISSUES BEFORE THIS!

It will not move in Reverse either? It could be

- the shift cable has broken
- the parking lock pawl has broken
- park/neutral position switch faulty
- transmission manual valve faulty

I think one of the first 3. There isn't much you can do except have it towed to a transmission shop.

you have collged fuel filter, best to change fuel filter or burn out new fuel pump.clogged fuel filter will put strain on fuel pump.

"2003 Chevy Impala won't start". Car would not

The alternator is not charging,or the battery wont take a charge. If all accessories work fine when its running after you've boosted it,its likely the battery.

2003 Jaguar s-type Transmission fault car wont move

First off check the battery. Try and jump start it. If that does not get the vehicle running you may have a problem with your J gate as it will not start unless in park or neutral. If an internal electrical fault has happened then the micro swith may not send a signal to the ecu to allow the car to start. the J gate is the gear selector by the way

2001 toyota sequoia- car won't start on park.. but starts on neutral...mechanic says it's the neutral safety switch..it is??

sounds like park safety switch, there are 2 switches 1 neutral and 1 park, if it starts in neutral,it is working,if in park, and does not start usually means bad switch or wire off.
