I think ,the problem is the clutch system,i resolve same problem in others cars, first purge the hydraulic clutch system,if not resolve you have to change the disc, pressure plate and reverse bearing

Auto gearbox gets stuck in reverse gear.

This is likely a sticking valve in the transmission valve body assembly, try adding a can of Lucas brand transmission additive.

Hi, this may be one of a multitude of failed components but it does sound like one of the internal clutches of the auto box as worn out. The best way to have this diagnosed is to take it to an automatic specialist, unfortunately if it is a failed internal clutch or brake within the box it is not a cheap repair

you need an OBII scanner to rest the lights. the scanner will read the faults (in codes) some can be critical, others are just minor nuances but are track by OBC. Disconnecting battery is only going to add another fault - that used to be "old school fix". Have a competent shop scan it for you, alot will do it for free.

Ferrari 360 will not rev above about 1500 rpm. Cold weather around 40 degrees F, but even after the car idled for 10 minutes warmed up to 200 degrees F engine temp the car would not rev above 1500. When...

without my greasy hands under the bonnet its hard to say but dont be scared of it just because it say ferrari on the front its still made by fiat and uses a lot of common parts ,now what i would do here is to test the mass air flow sensor with my automotive tester to see what happening and if the voltage is varying as it reved up before i start to even think about changing anything ,if this sensor is faulty then its not measuring the right air flow which will not allow petrol to be injected through the injectors hence its not picking up and i think it may be the cold weather thats affecting the sensor in some way ,remember warming up the engine will not make the sensor warm as it still has cold air being drawn in through the inlet pipe

Need to find ECU reset switch on 04 Ferrari 360 spyder

Open the bonnet area, you will find the master switch on the upper left area, turn it OFF (right). After one minute, put the ignition in POS 2 without starting the car, leave for 30sec, start the car BUT leave idle for 10 minutes.

Check engine light just went on..

You need to have a code scanner hooked to the car to find out why and what is causing the light to come on. If there is an autozone near you , take it there and tell them the engine light is on and you need to find out why. Takes about 30 seconds to have it done.
Because anything can cause the light to come on.

Ferrari 360 modena f1 speed restriction, safe mode

This great car does not have speed limiter, as you said the limiter is starting because the ECU detects a problem and put the car in limp mode, starting the Rev limiter.

The only way to know the problem is by connecting the car ECU to a code reader, and interpreting codes.

If the car goes in limp mode when you press the brake pedal can be a brakes related problem or even a contact on the brake light wirings, check if the lights are are working.

Ask your mechanic to scan the ECU, this will tell you what the problem is.

Transmission problems

Go straight to your local transmission repair centre, they will be able to diagnose the fault and repair it for you. Also check your transmission oil, Engine running at normal working temp, in park (P) remove dipstick, on your left at the back towards the bulkhead. check level if low top up only half a litre at a time. if low put in half a litre of the correct fluid(available at your jeep dealer) put foot on the brake and put into reverse (R) then put into drive (D) put back into P and recheck if still low add another half litre and repeat process. When level is correct test drive, if all is ok, take to transmission shop to find the leak. repair and all will be well. Hope this helps.
