Question about 1997 Jaguar XK8
My 1997 Jag XK8 convertible has been sitting after I was away 3 weeks in the hospital. I went to start it and it was a bit sluggish firing up as though the battery might be weak, and then I noticed the stability control light came on. What does this mean, and how do I fix the problem? The car was running fine before I parked it and hasn't been driven.
Thanks for any advice
Sounds like usual gremlins kicked in to your computer, with the flat battery.
Disconnect both terminals of the battery, switch on the ignition to start position 6 times, to clear the computer memory.
Reconnect Positive terminal + then Negative --- and start engine, and check it out.
I am pretty sure it will not come back on.
Also I suggest you get the battery tested soon as possible.
( Is it the original battery ?) If so, its shot !
Good Luck !
Please give me a FixYa rating please !
Let me know how you get on .
