If you open your driver side door and look on the side of the dashboard where the side vent is you should see a little panel that is removable and there behind that panel you would find you fuse box for all your minor electrical components.

SOURCE: Both Tail lights and dash lights are out. Fuse is OK

I had the lights on my dash and tail lights go out on my 1995 Grand Am 3.1 V6. After much investigation, it ended up being that the turn signal switch had gone bad. I got mine at Autozone - $79.99 for one with cruise, $69.99 for one without. SW860 for the non-cruise, SW859 for the cruise version. It is sometimes referred to as a multifunction switch - however, when I called and asked about that, it seemed as though the parts are NOT the same (MFS was much more expensive). Make sure you specify turn signal switch (that also controls the tail lights, headlights, etc).

In order to replace it, you need to remove the cover around the steering column - we couldn't get the lower part of the cover off and subsequently also had to pull the steering wheel (which also meant disabling the air bag), then remove the bad turn signal switch (which also controls the headlights, parking lights, tail lights, etc), pop in a new one, put everything back together (re-enabling the airbag) and then you can enjoy a life of dash lights and tail lights once again.

SOURCE: T100 tail lights & dash light keep blowing fuses

If this vehicle has a trailer harness, that could be the problem; it could be shorted out. Additionally, if there is no trailer harness, look under the truck bed at the rear, look for a grey wiring connector that wires come out of, and run to the taillamps. I have observed corrrosion in this connector, which will result in a short circuit. You may find it necessary to cut the connector out and resplice the wires back together (eliminate the connector), if severe corrosion is indeed present.

SOURCE: No tail lights on 1991 Chevy Silverado. fuse is good

sounds like a broken wire in the harness. look around the bumper area, sometimes along the frame. may have to peel back some tape covering. also if you have a trailer harness look closely at those.

SOURCE: 98 ford windstar no dash and tail lights

you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some

Instrument lights out on kj cherokee cant find blown fuse is there another fuse box other than one under hood

If your dash light are out, this is usually an indicator that your tail lights are out also. there should be a fuse block under the dash on the firewall or on the end of th dash board near the drivers door.(I'm not familiar with the "KJ") Check the fuse marked tail lamps. hope this helps.

No tail lights

You should have a fuse panel under you dash inside. This is where the fuses are located for lights. Don't know the exact location, but you can pull each fuse to see if it is bad. This won't hurt anything. It just keeps you from hunting down a diagram of where the fuse is located.

The light in my dash went out and I cant find the fuse to get it back working. Which one is it?

fuse panel cover should name each circuit fuse. for example; "tail lights 20A, or interior lights 15A or instrument cluster15A" also, you can look in owners manual for schematic of fuse panel. if all fuses are good, your dash light is out. dash light is generally in the tail light circuit.

Where is the fuse for dash lights?

Right side of engine compartment is a fuse box. It is a 15 amp mini fuse that is marked tail lights. I cant for the life of me figure out why they put the dash board, head light on alarm, and tail lights on the same fuse

1991 honda accord tails and dash lights went out cant get them to come back on

Start with your fuses: Fuses are in two areas. In the interior fuse box (left kick panel, below the dash--fuse chart on the cover) and in the engine compartment fuse box (far upper left as you face the car: fuse chart on the cover). Tail/Brake lights are combined with the Horn fuse in the engine compartment box. The fact that both taillights are out as well as the dash does not suggest the bulbs, but anything is possible. Tail light bulbs are accessed from inside the trunk compartment.
Hope this is of some help

Tail lights and instrument panel lights dont work

The Dash and Tail lights connect to the same fuse in most cars. if the fuse is okay, check to make sure the tail lights and/or dash lights are properly grounded. all bulbs could be blown...but highly unlikely.
