SOURCE: brake and ABS warning lights on, trac off on.

You may have a bad abs controller. You need to get the code for the abs light from a shop or auto parts store.

SOURCE: abs brake warning light comes on and rear brakes remain stuck on

I would bypass abs contraption with new line.(87 dually) abs located under drivers side cab looks very susceptible and is known to fail.I would trust my foot before that old thing.Im rippin it out of my truck & replacing it with new line all the way back.Old lines rusted pretty bad.Better safe than sorry.unplug light bulb or just leave it in .Jersey cant say anything if its 94 or older at inspection.that goes for all the lights. For me,older is better.I dont know what setup you have or if you sold it, you could try replacing it for about 160 at advanced.I hope its not the computer screwin up,thats probably a dealer item.Try unpluging hydraulic unit for shits & giggles.Go over rear brakes again before you start cutting.

SOURCE: 2006 Chrysler Pacifica touring abs light on stays on

Hi. this light is a warning that concerns the ABS sensor and mechanism assembly. there is a central module and connecting sensors that are attached to each axle/rotor. If any of the sensors become unstable or starts to malfunction, the main module will detect this anomaly and it will trip the light via, the ECM.

I recommend taking this vehicle in so that the ABS techs can diagnosis this issue and they can pin point which sensor or mechanism is malfunctioning.

You vehicle seems to operate in a normal manner at this point but, you will actually have to be in a hard braking situation in order to experience this malfunctions results. If you where to initiate a hard brake while the ABS system is in safe mode(light on), your vehicle would simply lock up. It would not provide the ABS actions due to this malfunction that is evident at this point.

Please rate and god bless:)

SOURCE: The ABS light stays on all the time...so the ABS brake system is not working..so what to do?

There are many parts involved in the ABS system. You will need access to a scan tool to find out the fault code and go from there. It could be a wheel sensor or circuit, communications failure, system undervoltage, the list goes on and on.

Someone will need to scan the body computer for trouble codes to proceed. The ABS system uses the regular hydraulic brakes to function.

Abs and skid light go on and off

this is due to your abs sensors not working properly, the abs sensors also funtion as the traction control system. sometimes they are just dirty, sometimes the wires get brittle due to turning left and right over the years and snap. sometimes they just go bad. one bad thing is they are embedded into your wheel bearing so the whole wheel bearing needs to be replaced which is around 150 for the part. it is very easy to put on if you have the correct tools. dont be fooled by car mechanics, its no more than 1 hour for the job so ask them how much they charge per hour and bring your own part in from auto parts store. the system fails even if only one sensor is out so make sure you know which one it is, the auto parts people or even a car shop should tell you for free.

for me, i dont really like abs or tcs so if you feel the same way, dont even bother fixing it. but be sure to fix it before you try to sell the car as people wont like the lights on in your dashboard.

Replaced front brakes ABS light comes on and

Hi:
The ABS light on means an ABS malfunction. You should be able to have a auto parts store scan your car and find out what code is tripped, for free, but my guess is that one of your front wheel speed sensors is out of whack, or dirty or something.
When the light is on, your normal brakes work fine, but you have no ABS, so your car will take longer to stop in emergency situations.

ABS Light Stays on new brakes put on

Could be dirty abs sensors attached to your brakes. I would clean them with brake parts or elecronical cleaner.
Other possibility is a faulty ABS system.

Trac Off Light always lit

Hello, let's see what we can do.
To answer your question, yes they are related. Either your ABS system is malfunctioning, you need to replace your brake pads or the vacuum booster is leaking.
Do you hear a hissing sound under the hood? If so it might be the vacuum booster. Does the engine run rough when you apply the brakes? That can indicate the same problem. Let me know what you find.
