Question about 1992 Cadillac Brougham
My 1991 cadillac brougham d elegance stutters at highway speeds.i can drive around all day at regular speeds and it will never happen.once i get on the highway for about 2 or three minutes the check engine light comes on and it starts missing if you will.It used to only do it one time then the check engine light would come on and it would'nt do it again. Now it will cut in and out repeatedly with the chesk engine light coming on and then off when i step on the gas.As i let off the gas the light fades back to full brightness. Some forums make it sound like throttle position sensor issues. If you try to use cruise control at any speed any time it will start to go crazy giving gas and letting off very wildly.
You really need to hook up your vehicle to a computer or scanner to check for codes. You may have faulty plugs & or wires, How is your fuel pressure? When is the last time that you changed your fuel filter? Is your touque converter lockup in your transmission slipping in & out ? All of these inquirees need to be checked, It is very hard to help without having your car to diagnose. i need more info...
