Question about 2000 Ford Focus
Had to change out a starter on a 2000 Ford Focus...the alarm was armed when we rehooked the battery...have tried to locate the valet switch to override, and can not find it anywhere under the dash...please help!!!

the circle on the dash is smart lock..(ignition cut off like a kill switch immobilser) the only way to fix that is take it to ford or a macahnic its a module inside the ignition ,,,or the computers smartlock aint letting it go

The easest way to find the starter is to open the hood and have some one crank the engine while you watch. If all else fails follow the positive cable from you battery it may go to the silonoid on the fire wall but the positive cable from the silnoid will go to the starter hope this helps
