If you have disc in the rear, bleed the caliper. If you have drums, the cylinders and the adjustment screw

1998 Dodge Dakota, the brake light and ABS lights are on with brake pedal pushed and the rear wheels continue to spin.

check the rear wheel sensor wires and sensors . IT appears that the ABS is receiving ( or not receiving a signal telling the unit that the wheels spinning) a bad signal saying that the wheels are stopped and so the fluid to the wheels is restricted to allow them to spin. Check the fluid level in the reservoir as there may be no oil in the section of the master cylinder for the rear wheels and that half is not working

Dashboard brake light on how do I make it go off

For your 1998 Dodge Dakota that has the dashboard brake light on all the time, first check your brake fluid level is within range. If it is and your braking system is working fine, then you will need to replace the rear wheel sensor. It is located on top of the differntial. You will need a wrench to unscrew the sensor out and then unplug and replace. Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota who ABS light and Brake

when brake light is constantly on it normally means the rear brake light dont work (bulb blown) ABS normally means sensors pushed too far or teeth on abs cv axle could be damaged or bent. check that first.

well because the abs light indicates a problem with your anti-lock braking system you need to find out why it is on.... keep in mind one quick way you would disengage your cruise is with the brake pedal.
under the hood is a fuse panel (often located near the battery) ... see if there is a relay in the for your cruise... replace that.
