Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Heater works fine, but won't come up through the defroster. Have a piece of vinyl hose attached to the heater on the floor, run up across the dash with intermittent holes punched out in it to release the air.
Any suggestions for a "real" fix?
It sounds like the heater control panel is'nt opening the defroster door
under the dash. You need to check cables or vacuum lines under the dash to see if any came off the diaphrams or levers.

Welcome to FIxYa.com
First check the heater control valve install a piece of 10mm hose to top so cable will not come off ( see diagram)
Check coolant level, do you have heat at defrost?, if not --replace heater core and flush coolant.
