Question about 2002 Volvo S60
We have a 2002 S60 2.4T with 64,000 miles which we bought new as a left over. Both my wife and I are in our 60'S and never abuse the vehicle.
About four months ago the turn signal would only work if we played around with the handle. If I could figure out how to dis-assemble the aera around the switch I'm sure I could the repairs my self. I haven't been able to find a owers manual for this vehicle. The Volvo dealer
wants $250 to replace the switch which I'm hard pressed to believe that this is the problem. I've a few car in my lift with 100,000 miles on them and never had a problem like this one.
Well, a problem like this does come up every once in a while.
First of all, you'll need to remove the airbag in the center of the steering wheel. And doing so is best left to having a Factory Service Manual to tell you how to disarm the air bag so it doesn't blow off while your servicing the unit. I don't know what country you are in, but here in the U.S., many of the larger libraries have the FSM's available to review and copy pertinent pages to the work we need to do on them.
