Re: "- 17964 turbo pressure control control limit below minimal level p1556 intermittent

A: do a compression test and check also the timing, this can be a defective turbo, or an head gasket starting to go.

Welcome to Fixya! I would have your Mechanic Change or Empty the Wastegate on the Turbo System. This is Clogging the Turbo Resulting in the Codes Listed Above and the Power Lose that you Stated. This is Common on Turbo Systems and Needs to be Emtied about every Year or so. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Losing power at 50/60 mph

The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

I have a 2002 a4 1.8 turbo that vibrates at about 60 mph can you tell me what could be causing that.

Have your car raised up to check the engine/transmission mounts. Also the turbo-charger needs inspection to be sure carbon deposits not
affecting its rotation

Loosing power at sped

Where do you live that it is legal to drive 120 mph? Your hitting the built in speed limiter. The car is telling you to slow down.

Audi A6 Quattro - Looses lights

They usually have igniters that will start to give out on the light bulbs. But if they did not find any faults then it would require a long diagnosis time.
