Question about 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
My anti lock light, trac light ad service vehicle soon light is on, it goes on and off again, right before it comes on if i step on brake, the brake petal grabs, pulses something to that effect, im scared to drive it, what the heck is going on? my service engine soon,anti-lock brakes and trac. control lights are on but when I turn the car off and restart it they're off for a while. sometime it happens and some times it doesn't.
Have the same problem took my car to have it scan and it was the sensor needs changing.

I got this car from my inlaws, and this same thing had been going on when they gave me the car. It ran fine, but the lights would come on withing a few miles of driving the car. Service Vehicle Soon, ABS, and Trac Off were the lights that were coming on. I drove it this way for awhile, then when I had it in for routine maintenance I was told I need the front wheel bearings replaced. I found a friend who replaced them for me, and lo and behold when I got the car back the lights were gone and haven't been back on since. I don't know a lot about cars so there certainly could be other problems that would cause these same symptoms, but it worked for me ;)

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the Check Engine, Service Engine Soon, ABS Or TC lights to tell you that there is a problem and you should have the car diagnosed and repaired. I would take it to a service center you trust and let then come up with a solution. Sometimes a problem in one system will turn light on for other systems that communicate with it, but it doesn't mean there is a problem in all of the systems.

please don't GUE$$ this problem speed sensor is part of your speedometer!! not the ABS sensor located at cv joint sensor ring! the sensor is bolted or pressed on to you brake anchor ///hub but it could be your ABS pump?? it could be 1 of 4 of your ABS sensor switches it could even be the sensor RING on CV joint? so to GUE$$ would cost $100.00 up word to a $1000.00 so again take in get it properly scanned to retreve the sensor or other part at fault! usually the fee is waved if you do the repair at that destination! or reduce 1/2 price depending on how well of a relationship you have with your tech our shop usually waves it if you go ahead and get the work required completed! QUESTION is it dangers absolutely! your safety as well as inasint others well it is your choice I hope the free support I gave you helped you out some way shape or form.John
