You have either a broken shaft on your lock cylinder, a stripped gear,or the rod from the lock cylinder to the electronic part of you ignition switch has popped out.
I will try and explain how to check it. Remove the plastic covers around the steering column. You should then be able to see the electronic part of the ignition switch bolted to the column. See if the rod is still hooked to the switch and has not come loose. If that looks ok then look under the steering column at the lock cylinder itself. You will see a small hole there. Put the lock cylinder in the on postion and stick a small pick thru the hole and push up,this will push a metal button in so then the lock cylinder can be removed. You will then see where the end of the lock cylinder fits into a gear that is held in by a c-clip. This gear will mesh with another gear that hooks to the rod that goes down to the electric switch.
Hope this helps you.

I have a 2001 ford f250 powerstroke diesel was driving and transmision started to slip drove about 3 miles and now wont move forward at all but reverse works fine

Some of the Ford transmissions actually have an aluminum gear which will go out somewhere around 150 to 200 thousand miles. OR it could be really low on transmission fluid.

Try checking around the the brake pedal, check for the connection that goes from the alarm to the brake switch. Some times they become loose if its not a proper connection .

1999 Ford F250 won't start

probably the starter relay. Use a test light or meter and have some try to crank it over while testing the post of the relay which goes to the starter. If it doesn't light up or show voltage, then do the same thing with the terminal that comes from the key/switch. If it doesn't show voltage coming in from the key, then it isn't your relay, if it shows voltage coming in, but not going to the starter when the key is turned, then it is the relay.
