Looking for location of crankshaft position sensor on 2000 mercury villager with 3.3l engine. parts store says there are 2 per vehicle. found one at front of engine. any idea where the 2nd one would be?

The 3.3/3.8L crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the transmission housing, above the differential housing The bottom of the sensor is positioned next to the drive plate. Remove the 10mm bolt holding the sensor in place and remove the sensor. Install the new crankshaft sensor.
Install crankshaft sensor bolt and tighten. Connect wiring. merry christmas !!

How to change cam positiom sensor in 2000 dodge

The cam position sensor on the 2.7 engine is on the
driver side of your engine, right in the front of the head. there's a 10mm bolt. undo the bolt and pull it straight out. push the new one into the hole, and hold pressure on it until it's bolted back in.

If you have the 3.5, the cam position sensor is located on top of the timing cover. I just unbolt the upper intake just enough to lift it up a little. unbolt the cam sensor, pull it out and install the new one keeping pressure on it until it's bolted in.

I hope this helps

Need to set timing on 1996 mercury mistque 4cyl

Hi,timing marks are dots or arows at the timing components such as cam gear end crankshaft gear this marks must be perfectly aling when installing a timing belt or timing belt otherwise the engine will not start and major damage can be caused......you can ask for especific timing specs at many major auto parts and at the dealers......
