How to troubleshoot or wiring diagram info for remote keyless entry and horn, 2008 Ford Focus.

Did you check the horn relay ?
Horn The horn system consists of the following components:
  • horn switch (part of the driver air bag module)
  • horn relay
  • horn(s)
  • clockspring
  • The horn system consists of a relay, the steering wheel switch and 2 horns. The horns receive voltage from the switched side of the relay. The horn relay is controlled on its ground side by the steering wheel switch or the generic electronic module (GEM).
The horn relay is supplied with constant voltage from the battery junction box (BJB) on circuit 30-DA1 (RD).
The horn switch shares the clockspring with the air bag circuits, although each of these systems work completely independent of each other.

    Inspection and Verification
    1. Verify the customer concern.
    1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

    • Circuitry
    • Horn relay
    • Clockspring
    • Generic electronic module (GEM)

    1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.

Remote control

Do any of the other buttons on the remote work, like the horn or trunk-open buttons? If they do, then you might have a blown fuse or relay switch for the specific problem. On my Grand Am, there are relays for "Door Lock", "Door Unlock" and "Driver Door Unlock".

I put new battery into my keyless remote and nothing works. I looked online to be told to hold down both lock and unlock buttons for 15 secs. then it should work. But it doesn't Is there maybe a fuse...

If it worked before, but not now, you probably put the battery in upside down. The remote code is stored inside the ECM of the vehicle, so changing the battery will not erase any code.

if you keept trying to start it with no luck it could be possible you have flooded the cylinder. get a can of starter fluid and spray it in your intake(air filter box) and try to turn it over. if it trys to start you should drain all fule. add new fule with a can of octain boost. if car does not start pull spark plugs and try to drain cylinder

Jaguar XK8 Remote Locking problem

check your lock relays located in the interior fuse panel. Sometimes the actual connections to the fuse block can come lose and the relays wont work properly. My 2000 silverado did the same thing till i bent the pins on the relay for a tighter fit.
hope this helps

Keyless remote entry

First try to replace batteries on remotes, 2. try reconfiguring the remotes only if the first doesn't work. And at last just try unplugging the negative of the vehicles battery plus check all your fuses the make sure that you're not have having any electric interference. Good luck !!!

My power locks dont work in side my van

check the wiring, connections, curciut braker, fuse link for the door opener on the side is broken, compair the wiring is the same setup on the working side and the non-working side.
something is different on one of the malfunctioning side, remote setting device has the correct wiring setup and the wiring diagram setting are defferent something is making the system to operate wrong or right. just be careful and teaduse, check out the remote switch and remote relay, fuse for relay, relay, find schamatics, look at the wiring remote wiring diagrams, and compair power connection for remote verses the non remote, see if any wires loose, dangling aound, loose, good luck
