Ok, i drive a 95 mustang GT, and just recently my car started to run like ****. It started out in the mornings it would hesitate pretty bad when trying to take off and would sound like a backfire then would be fine. And now it seems to hesitate all the time and seems like the car wont accelerate over 4000 RPMS and when i let off it will backfire. The RPM gauge will bounce constantly while driving.
Sounds like you have jumped a tooth on the timing if not timing out
