Hi, it sound like you drove your car without water or Oil. check if the car has water or oil, if you drove it without water your head will need to be checked and serviced, if you drove without oil you will need to redo the whole engine
If you drove it without oil and it heated up enough you seized the engine and you are out of luck. Engine rebuild or replacement is your only option. Check this out with a mechanic first before getting crazy though.
Hello, if your engine did not have oil pressure , I doubt you could drive it ten miles. I think you should check your oil pressure with an auxiliary pressure gauge. More than likely you might only need a new oil sending unit.
A seized engine is always caused by a lack of lubrication, which could be caused by an insufficient quantity of oil, low oil pressure or contaminents in the oil. I once started an engine that was supposedly seized, and drove a mile to aplce I could work on it. In that case it was a thrown piston rod. I ended up replacing the engine with one from a auto salvage yard. It was faster, and less expensive than rebuilding the engine.
A new short block could solve the problem, but whatever caused the engine to seize may have damages the heads or the valve train. In that case a "long block" would be needed. These are expensive, so, I would look into a used enine from a reputable source
Do you mean a main bearing/ If so it sounds as if it was bad before you bought it unless you over rev'd the motor. The main bearings other than from over reving do't usually go just like that.
get marvins magic mystery oil pull the plugs out and put 3-5 tablespoons in each cylinder let it sit overnight, and turn the engine over by hand with a wrench
If you happend to open the door or unlock from the inside. you might of activated the theft shut down alarm. Try unlocking and locking the driver door a couple times then taking your key phob, lock and relock the doors until it armed. unlock it then see what happens
you need to check to make sure there is enough oil in it and then you take a socket with a large breaker bar disconnect the negative side of the battery and take the socket and breaker bar and put it on the crank and rock it back and forth to see if you can free it up
