Question about 1989 Ford Escort

2 Answers

Leaking roof I have a 1991 xr3i which had a brand new cabriolet roof fitted about a year ago. I am trying to sell the car as it is in super condition but the roof badly leaks and now the car has 2 inches of water in it and so much condensation. I am a woman on her own who has no idea what to do! Please can you give me some advice as the car is now just sitting outside my house. Thank you

2 years ago our roof started leaking causing damage to our ceiling but now ceiling has bad damage and insurance company is denied our claim saying lack of maintenance and old rusty iron on roof

have the policy read by a legal representative and if there is no requirement to maintain the roof in as new condition ( rusty iron is still water proof ), have them counter claim for breach of contract

Audi A4 Cabriolet roof stopping half way open

refer to the owners manual, for instructions to put down roof by hand, they are not easy to follow, however, the manual key they refer to is in the fuse panel, the 1st lock to undo is in the middle section of the back seat, next the lock for the front section push down roof and lock in place. the warning light at this point will still be flashing, and the display saying roof unsecure. the bit everyone seems to forget is to go back to the middle back seat lock and relock, once that is done, display clears, and both roof and boot should work. i have no idea why this fault occured just hoping its doesn't too often. suggest also you always have engine on when operating roof. hope you find this usefull.
