The check engine light came on about 8 months ago and it was a bad ground for the oxygen sensor. I fixed the ground with an additional wire and it was fine untill last week whe the light started coming on again. The trouble shooting device says its the oxygen sensor again.

Check engine light on 95 Nissan Pathfinder

Check lights have been on the dash of all
vehicles for 30 years now ??

What codes do have, as a result of the check light?

What will be your question when get the codes?

Still has to be diagnosed, starting with all code
related issues first.

You need to explain who works on
your vehicles, when you have these issues

We could write a book, and you go down the
street, to a repair shop, not having a clue what we said

What has been done to diagnose your current issues?

Check Lights on Dash?

Missing when,uphill under a load,at idle etc?

Is that a Mazda or Nissan Engine?

99 pathfinder trouble running

There could be several concerns.
The fuel pump is weak and cutting out.
The ignition coils are getting hot and cutting off. The torque convetor in the transmission could be staying in lock up mode, This will cause the vehicle to die out , there is to much torque on the engine when at idle, causing the engine to die out.
The exhaust system could be clogged.
I would try and get the vehicle to a mechanic or dealer to check out .

the check engine light may come on for several reasons. first in newer models the light is used because the fluid levels might be low. Another reason is that the ecm may have detected a fault in the sensor system because the parameters were exceeded. another reason is it could be that your fuel cap is not on tight enough. at this point it would hard for me to determine what the codes mean due to not having the manual for your vehicle. in the mean time my suggestion would be to have a full diagnostic done on the vehicle at a shop. some of those codes could be active and some might be stored and unless cleared they will remain and the light will stay on. considering your vehicle is running fine =I suspect that there not actually be a problem but the stored codes need to be reset in order for the light to go out... please rate this........thanks
