Need to change the termostatic, this will make the car heat up, plus increase your fuel milage, plus check on changing the sending unit under the hood, that send the signal to the gauge.

Temp. gauge don't move past half on 1996 VW Jetta

Sounds normal. If the gauge moved further over, it would indicate an overheating problem, wouldn't it? Check that engine is at normal operating temperature after it warms up. If it is running too cold, your thermostat might be stuck open.

Nissan AltimaGXE97 temp gauge staying cold

If the engine is not warming up, the thermostat may be stuck open.
If the engine is warming up and the gauge is not moving, the problem could be the sending unit for the gauge or the gauge itself.

Coolant gauge has stopped working

I'm not a Peugeot expert, but do you know if the engine is warming up normally ?
The thermostat could be stuck open, or the engine could be low on coolant, or the sending unit for the gauge may have failed. If the engine is warming up you should be able to ground the wire to the sender and watch the gauge move.

Temperature sensing

There should be two sensors - one for the computer and one for the gauge. Are you working on the right one ? Can you ground the sensor plug and make the gauge move ?

Heater not working. blowing but not warm

Does the car have a temp gauge? If the engine thermostat is stuck open, the engine will not warm up for a very long time and the heater core will not receive the heat it needs to make hot air.

If not that, there may be a duct door that is stuck that normally allows air to flow over the heater core. This would be harder to diagnose
