I have 2 master cylinders, 1 for brakes and separate 1 for clutch. According to the handbook the clutch is adjustable so I will have to get underneath and have a look, thanks for your help anyway.

Hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?

2008 hyundai accent clutch slipping, i think?

seems a bit early for clutch. how many k's? I would start by checking the intake tube for splits & security & airflow sensor. they will cause the engine to rev but no response (like a slipping clutch) so its manual right?

Can you adjust the clutch on a 2002 hyundai accent

The clutch in this car is a hydraulic design and is self adjusting. If you have a hard pedal with high pedal engagement or a slipping condition you are going to need a new clutch installed.

seems to be a worn clutch... Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

It feels like the clutch may be going out. It's starting to shift hard, and the clutch has to go at least 2/3 to the floor before it engages. The fluid levels are fine. Any suggestions

you may have a hydrolic clutch .. check for a master cylinder similar to the brake master cyclinder near the clutch pdl .. it may be low on fluid .. .. i am assuming you meant that the clutch had to be near the floor before DISengaging .. if its a mechanical hookup instead then there is an adjustment for that (free pedal adj)

if the adjustment is out of range then you could have a bad throwout bearing .. but usually they make noise when the go bad ..

To change gears, I need to fully press down on my clutch pedal to stop a grinding noise on my hyundai accent 2001Can I adjust the clutch cable,

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

In a manual 2001 Hyundai Accent, the clutch cable could be adjusted. The adjustment point is on the cable 'pad' where it enters the firewall in the engine compartment.

To adjust, the slack or free play must be decreased. This is done by turning the adjusting nut clockwise. Check back by pressing on the clutch pedal to your preference.

Clutch peddle goes to the floor

Do you mean that stays to the floor because the clutch peddle has to reach the floor. If that is what you mean then probably you need a knew clutch or if it is hydraulic maybe it reflling and dicomression.
