The cluctch inside my AC converter is making some squealing, so I figured instead of replacing the AC for a couple hundred, I can just reroute the serpatine belt inside the AC so it won't even turn. Does anyone the length of belt I need?

Hi the only way to get the size is to use a piece of string and wrap it around all of the pullies.in the proper order. and subtract 1-2 inches so thy tenshioner will work buy a couple of belts at diffrent sizes and return the ones you dont need

Try replacing the belt tensioner. Comes out easily, once you figure out access to it. Remove inspection panel inside front passenger side wheel well. Tensioner is right there, two bolts. If the spring gets weak, the belt will squeak.
Could it be the pulley on the AC that's squealing? Use a mechanic's stethoscope to locate the squeal. If it is the AC, you can get a belt that is shorter, and bypass the pump, since it doesn't work anyway. Try some belt dressing first. When the engine is running, just spray it on the inside of the belt.
The reason your belt is making a noise is either your belt is worn and needs replacing or the belt tension is out of adjustment and needs checking and adjusting.
It is a good idea to replace it anyway specially if the belt has small cracks on the inside.
what brand belts are they? try gates where other belts stretch these will not, make sure ac not gat ot much freon in it or fans not cooling condenser down.this will make ac compressor try to lock up,,,,,i would try an old mans remedey ,axle grease on grip side of belt, not any thing else ,every thing else will come off, belt dressing will make things nasty and wont stop squeal
On the Inside of the Engine Compartment you will find the Routing Sticker for the Belt to Reinstall. Locate the Tensioner (Will look like a Pulley that has one Round Pulley Under the Belt and One larger Round Pulley Mounted Above that. In the Middle of the Large Pulley there is a Bolt. Get a Wratchet and Turn it. It will Lower the Pulley under the Belt and Loosen the Tension Off of the Belt. Remove the Belt. Follow the Diagram Under Hood to Reinstall.
