Question about 1997 Dodge Stratus
My son was driving and he said that he went over some railroad tracks at approx. 15 mph and the car died and we cannot get it restarted. The engine will crank but not turn over. My stepson, ruling out things, put a timing light to check it and said it wasn't the timing, took the third plug wire off and said it was firing, checked the fuses, and checked the fuel pump which seemed to be working. The car had approx. 3/4 tank of gas. My question could also be can the timing slip enough to stop the engine from running yet plugs get spark and timing belt not broken?
There is a plug under neath the front driver side of the carlook and see if this is loose or un hooked that may be your problem...i just fixed a stratus with the same problem
