Is there a low oil shut off switch on a 06 cobalt 2.2

has the fuel pump ever been changed?????Sounds like u have enough fuel pressure 4 idle but not enough 4 run.Have it checked...sometimes after getting 2 the pump it's not the pump it's the discharge hose @ 1 to 1-1/2 long dry rotted & losing pressure therefore not running

same thing happend to me in my 2005. sadly when the engine shut down it also seized. $9,000 later she is good as new. By the time the oil light came on it was too late. bring it to a dealership/garage right away. A rock put a hole in my oil pan and this caused the oil to drain.
