Heated Seat Quit Working

I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS, and my passenger side heated seat just stopped working. The seat warmer was working fine, we went into a department store for approx. half and hour, when we returned to the car it wouldn't heat.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

same thing but drivers seat and 2004 monte. i haven't fixed it yet but was told it was probably a bad heater core the goes under the leather in my seat. the light on the switch goes on, indicating that it's turning on (and that the problem is not the fuse, as they are presumably on the same fuse?)

i dunno it wastes an electrical current and puts the heat on my ****, how hard can it be?

Hi you should check the fuses first.look in your ovners manual or on the fuse panel lid and under hood fuse block/s for the proper fues and location.

Where are relays for heated seats in 2004 monte carlo ss

Hi jkelley, I'm glad to help!

Usually in most cases when the heated seats quit working its the heated seat element that you sit on under the padding. Here's what I want you to do: Turn the key on then push the heated seat on button and see if it lights up. This is a quick test but not always an accurate test because the switch could still be working but the LED Light could be bad. BUT, in most cases this is a good test. If it lights up then its safe to say that its mostly likely the ELEMENT that's bad. Most of the time if you'll raise the seat cover you'll see that the element is burnt. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.

Heated seat not working

The element is no good. You have to take off the seat cover and pull the element out.

2002 Oldsmobile Bravada power seat and heated seat is not working. (Passenger side)

Either have broken wires leading to the heated seat and the power seat controls, or the heated seat element is burnt out (but not likely).

Check for blown fuses for the system, but if one side or the other is not working, it's more likely a wire broke somewhere, in this case, on the passenger side.

2005 chevy monte carlo ss, heated seat, driver side, quit working

If the switch lights up when you turn it on but the seat doesnt get hot, it is most likely the heating element in the seat. If the switch doesnt light up, you have a power or ground issue.

Buick Lesabre Heated Seats not working

The problem is most likely caused by shorted heating grids in the seat cushion itself, kind of like the heating element in an electric blanket, very expensive to replace.
