Also, particularly after and ice storm, it could be a false code. if one tire goes faster than another with the engine on, the wheel speed sensor will set a code. samething if you have the car in the air and spin one tire.

The problem could be youe sensors are wet and they freeze. This will cause the light to come on. Common problem.

1996 chevy cavalier abs breaking system front and rear replacement

With enough time and money you can make a front wheel drive car into a rear wheel drive car. You would have to replace the transmission and axles and it could cost well over $10,000.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toyota cavalier 1996 the abs light, how?

Toyota cavalier??? Chevy tacoma???
You might have a wheel sensor issue (part of the wheel bearing assembly) It tell the abs computer the wheel speed, and if one is bad, it will error the abs, and turn the light on. You can get this checked with an abs scanner hooked up, or ohm out all of your speed sensors with a meter.

My abs light comes on and off when I hit bumps not hard just hit them. I also have problems with the abs making my brakes seem like shuttery and like kicking on and off at random times.

u probably have an issue with one or more of your abs sencers or a bad spot in the wiring making it kick on and off or the master unit is bad, i would check the sencers and see if there are any broken wires.

Abs speed control flashing

Likely an ABS Wheel Speed Sensor is not sending the proper signal to the ABS module.
Could be a dirty sensor, ring, or a bad wiring to the sensor from the ABS control module.

Check for a dirty sensor, first.

My 96 cavalier abs light came on and stayed on still drives sweet

Even so, the next time you have an emergency situation, i.e, a panic stop, there's a good likelihood your ABS won't work correctly. It could be a simple a fix as topping off off your brake fluid.

How to reset the ABS light on a 1994 cavalier? I replaced the brake caliper on the rt front wheel, and ended up with the ABS light on.

i think you have metal shavings on the abs wheel sensor. did you go metal to metal on the brakes? new caliper right? disconect the battery for 10 mins that should do it. first clean that sensor off it might reset itself good luck
