Could be any one of many sensors. also have you changed your air filter lately. a clogged air filter will do this. Change spark plugs and wires. if the pluggs are fowled or the wires are cracked then this will happen also. check throtle body control sensor. Also, vacume lines can do this also. Start checking all the litle and big rubber hoses under the hood. they all can cause this problem.

hope this helps

buy a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze... sounds like you have water in your fuel it's alcohol (not the kind you drink) and will **** up the water.

May be the dimmer switch. Also, the wiring plugs were susceptible to corrosion where they connect. You may want to check the connections

2005 monte carlo seems to run rough / misfire when warm.

Remove your ignition module and take it to a parts house to be tested. This is common behavior for a failing module after it gets warm. Have them check it several times to insure it gets hot during testing.

01 monte carlo securty & battey light problm

I had the same problem. Also, "service traction system" warning light, "service engine soon", and "trac off" warnings. Audio system locks every time the voltmeter goes flat. I expected an expensive repair bill. On a hunch, I pulled both battery terminals, scrubbed all points of contact vigorously with a wire "toothbrush" and baking soda paste. (They didn't look like they needed it at all) Reconnected, tightened securely, started engine , and everything is back to normal. Zero cost, 10 minutes of your time.

Pulsating or flickering lights

your car is in denial.... Have your battery load testest. If it has any plate issues it can mislead the alternator regarding its state of charge abd, by all means make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. good luck
