1996 explorer limited driver side power window working loose...

Hi, window stops on it's own when i hit button. I figured out that it was loosening up at the rear of window and if i assist it, it will go down, but i have to hold it down or it will ride up and stop. I'm afraid if i wait too long it will eventually pop out of the slot it sits in and become a real problem.

How do i remove the door panel and what will be my solution to fix the problem?

Windows stops working

Could be a few things.

1. Bad switch (the buttons for the windows)
Also check to see if they work independently as in try each button on that side. (use button on passenger side for passenger side window)

2. Bad motors

I have a 96 Explorer with keyless Alarm and the windows stop working can we fix it

if all windows stopped at once, it sounds like it could be a blown fuse. Fuse boxis on the drivers side, side of dashboard.pull it out to see if blown and replace with same amp number.you could also look in manual for info on fuse box.

Passenger side power window inop. Possibly a switch, fuse? Can I fix myself? What parts are required? Thanks

Try removing the door panel, and then feeding direct power to the motor using two wires connected to power (positive) and ground (negative). Connecting the wires one way will make the motor move the window up, and reversing the connection will make the window go down. If the motor works ok when you do this, then you have a wiring or switch issue, likely a switch. If the motor doesn't work with direct power and ground, then you have identified the problem. Good Luck!

The driver's side window on my 2005 MiniCooper stopped working. Can not open it by either the power window switch or keyless entry. Passenger side window still works from the switch and keyless remote. I...

Hi, I have a 2005 MCSc Just like yours. All of the forums know of this frequent problem. All suggest lightly hitting the door just above the door speaker as you toggle the switch up. It has worked for me several times. Beleive me you feel kinda stupid hitting the door to make the window work but it works. Seems like the limit positioning switch gets stuck especially in the heat. Good Luck.

Tire jumps

Sounds like something is loose in your right front suspension. You need to get the wheel off of the ground and push it up and down, in and out to see if you feel something loose. Look for something broken or loose. If you can't, bring it somewhere to have it looked at.
