Rear Wiper Problem

The rear wiper lifts off of the window after the first pass, and does not touch the window after that. We have to leave the wiper off for a minute or two and it seems to 'reset' so we get a good swipe on the first pass. Is there something to check for calibration?

My 4 runner rear window wiper, washer and defroster won't work after pressing window down button on remote control. Any suggestions?

Just wanted to pass this on. My rear wiper and washer would not work. Solved problem by raising and lowering rear window. The rear window in the cold weather had dropped just low enough that the safty switch would not let the washer and wiper come on. Got this idea from the internet.

these are totally separate circuits and therefore 2 different issues and unrelated, most likely u will need a window lift motor to fix the rear window issue, as far as the rear wiper goes a common issue is the wiring breaking from years of opening and closing the lift gate, the rear wiper most likely isn't getting any power as a result of this wiring damage.

i presume you mean wiper water pump... first locate the relays for the horn and rear wiper and replace them... usually found in the fuse panel under the dash... then fill up the rear water resevoir for the back wiper and try it again.
