Try to start car clicks then have no power like there is no battery.move the battery around the the blinker lights flash twice and have power try to start and the same problem occurs
Re: move the battery around and the lights flash twice...
Your battery is probably shot. You can bring it to advance auto parts, etc and have them test to see if you have correct cranking amps rated for your car

It sounds like if this is a car with the brake interlock, meaning the car will not shift from park unless the brake is pressed, there is a malfunction there, some are electronic and it may not be getting power to it especially if there are other warning lights on the dash. It would help if you could give more details, like which lights are on. Most cars with a mechanical interlock will have a cable you can adjust either at the brake cable or at the shifter.
your car alarm is acting up. try putting new batteries on the remote. also found this online. I dont know if its the same as your alarm but you can check it out. hope it helps
Sounds like your alternater, get a multimeter set it to volts start the car then check the battery is getting 14 or over volts from the alternater to the battery , if your getting less than that it's not putting enough volts back to the battery to run the car with good luck colin
STARTER SELONOID OR DIRTY BATTERY CABLES OR LOOSE CONNECTION ON STARTER.iF YOU REPLACE STARTER REPLACE WITH COMPLETE UNIT NOT JUST SELONID GOOD LUCK.PS BE SURE BATTERY IS UP TURN LIGHTS ON AND HAVE SOMEONE WATCH THEM AS YOU TRY AND START TO BE SURE THEY DON`T GO OUT IF THEY DO--- GO TO CONNECTIONS ON BATTERY OR TRY JUMPING GOOD LUCK
Check the battery first. Just because the lights are on doesn't mean it has enough power to start the van. If you or the van has a volt meter, the battery should read at least 13-14 volts to be good. If the battery is good then the alternator is good and we move on to the starter solenoid. I'm sure it's one of these. Do the lights go off or very dim when you turn the key? If so then battery.
You will have to check, at the starter, for power to the SMALL wire on the starter solenoid (which is on the starter) when turning the ignition switch to start. If there is power to this wire ( usually purple ) and power at the LARGE cable ( from the battery ) at the starter end.....you need a starter.
If you do not have power at the small wire at the solenoid with the key in start position and battery power is OK.....check the safety neutral switch.Moving the shifter around a little can sometimes allow the car to start if the neutral switch is worn.
A new battery does not always mean a fully charged battery. Try a boost from another car before testing the starter for power.
The battery cables need to be clean and tight....and check the ground to the engine as well.
Everything else may work OK with bad connections, they don't use the power the starter needs to turn the engine over.
you got a immob prob with your key,get it recoded to your key and away you go.........dont jump start your car without surge protectors or you may blow your e.c.u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
