I just took delivery yesterday on a 2007 BMW X3 Sterptronic. Car has 39,000 miles and is BMW Certified. Dealer loaned it to me for several hours of test drive. Car seems to have significant stumbling, surging and flat spots at tip-in when I'm just pulling away from a stop. Curiously, this event tends to be minimal to un-noticeable when statring from and driving down a mild descending grade. On my final trip back to the dealer, road conditions were primarliy downhill to flat and I think I erroneously concluded that I had qiuickly mastered the subtle and correct method of stating from launch. I bought the car. Shortly later, when driving up a fairly steep hill approachibg our house the engine and transuition exhibited very unsettling rpm, gear switching and jerking behavior. I've got 48 hrs to take this car back and return it. Very nice car purchased for good price, my instincts say run, don't walk away from this car. What do you think?

- there really isnt any other response needed. if you are starting out having trouble with the car it means its only gonna get worse not better and you will have to assume cost of repair if you keep the car..take it back and get your money back or try a different car that dosent have problems already
If you heart say to buy this car , you need to make sure that when was car serviced in factory service station and ask then how much km meter is done and also ask then if there was a any major issue with car without knowledge Dealer ,buy paying a small fee you get all information and won't end in buying lemon ....
The car may probably be fixed, the problem is with electronic injection or distribution. However, being the car new , I suggest to have it replaced with one with no problems.

The temperature controller slide will not allow the heater valve to open all the way to allow the heated water to circulate through the heater core. How do I take the front of the dash loose to access the controller to adjust the cable or rod housing on a 1993 Dodge Caravan?
