Question about 2003 Chrysler 300M
The inner right CV joint felt extremely loose. I replaced the axle and the noise remained unchanged. While the axle was out I noticed slight looseness from the spline coming from the transmission. There is very little, if any, change in the roar at highway speeds. Thanks in advance for your input on this problem. The car is a 2003 Chrysler 300M 3.5L with engine code G.
Have you checked the wheel bearings in the front, there may be a possibility that the bad cv axle may have caused premature bearing failure and thats where you noise is coming from. Hope this helps.
