Question about 1999 Mitsubishi Galant
Not sure about this as its got lots of electronic sensors and telling you it could be one or the other and they are not cheap, also its difficult to tell without being hands on so to speak.Basicly the fuel is pumped at pressure into the common rail which feed the injectors, pump is working when you crank engine so thats fine (pressure) now the ECU unit is controling it and when the fuel is injected ,but on older cars its spraying all the time.which i think your is.Now lift bonnet and on the end of the common rail is a round valve with a vacumn pipe on it,make sure this pipe is on and the ends not split and it has a vacumn in it when you crank the engine.Sorry dont do call outs outside alicante zone (spain) If pipes seem ok then its a garage job as it could be a manky wire inside a connection plug corroded .Best of british with it.
