Did u change the bulb w/ the Honda's original BULB?
They have a different type BULB in honda, the amperage and the base contact is different from a regular bulb.

There must be an intermittent problem with your abs system, which causes the abs light to come on and then go off, as you say. It won't affect your brakes, just your anti-lock braking function. if that light is on. If it remains on, have it checked.
if the abs light is already on the abs system is already bypassed, and your base brake system should operate without the abs working properly as long as the red brake warning light is not on
