This is going to take a big chunk out of ur pocket. i have a 97 dodge intrepid and i just had this isue. first u need to get the car up in the air and shake ur tire. if it moves with out aplying alot of presure then u have a bad tyrod end usualy outer. but ur going to half to change ur tire because if u have a bad belt in ur tire then it will make every thing from ur axle to cvc joint to ur tyrod ends going bad. i dont quite know about the power steering. but ur going to half to check ur lines .and see if u got a split. it is easy if u canget some one in the car and have them crand the weel back and forth. u should see where its dripping from. but if u have any other questions please dont hesitate to ask.if i dont know the answer i can find it. please rate my solution

Why is my 2000 Ford Mustang V6 shaking uncontrollably? Likely culprits at this point are power steering or transmission, but could be something else. Please help!

It's very difficult to see how the power steering could cause your car to shake and vibrate. If the power steering was leaking you would see fluid somewhere .. and the steering might be heavy.

You say this also happens when the car idles?

What springs to mind here is defective engine or gearbox mounts. I would also suspect that the cause of the vibration is what caused your exhaust manifold to crack.

If you let the car tickover and open the hood can you see the engine physically move? Check those engine mounts ..

Another possibility (and this once happened to me) is that the flywheel -on manual transmission or torque converter -on automatic transmission is loose. If those bolts which hold it onto the rear of the engine are loose it can cause vibration severe enough to make the teeth in your head rattle, not to mention make the car vibrate and rattle as if you're continually driving over deep potholes with out of balance wheels...

Transmission fluid problem? No.. that doesn't seem to be the fault. If the transmission fluid level was low, or it was dirty, the autobox would have difficulty in changing gear. It wouldn't cause any vibration problems.

It's very difficult to diagnose problems without actually seeing the car, but .. but .. I would guess that the cause of the vibration is within the transmission .. a loose torque converter or a torque converter problem

When I get up to speeds over 50 my steering wheel shakes, feels like front end bouncing, when Im at 45 or lower it doesnt do it, what is the problem?

Check the power steering fluid, which i doubt. my only other suggestion is use 93 level gas the high octane should help with the shakes.

Shakes, steering wheel hard to turn. RPM's at 2 when going 15mph.

Have you checked the power steering fluid? Do the belts squeel when you turn the steering wheel?
I know this might sound silly but are your air pressures in your tyres correct? Low air pressure will cause your steering to shake at speed and it will be hard to turn at low speed.
I hope this helps,
Scott.

I have a 97 Toyota Avalon and it kind of shakes when I get to 35 or 40. I replaced a tire and it helped alot!! But still shakes some. Could it be a tire rod or strut? Or should I just change the other...

If you think the tyres are in reasonable condition get the wheels balanced. If the front tyre/wheels are out of balance you get shake in the steering wheel at certain speeds. Backs out of balance are usually felt through the seat.
I cant see a connection between the power steer fluid level and the gear shift.

shakes how? when driving down the road or with car parked wheel moves side to side and up and down, if its while driving you may have a bad tire or loose parts in steering components , like a tierod end.
