Where is the AC/Heater Control Actuator located?

Hi Joymar, The EATC module is mounted to the heater box under the dash, below the radio,to the right of HVAC controls. access through glove box opening.[remove glove box] look for module with wire & vacuum connections.if you see a linkage arm or rod, those are actuators, follow vacuum lines to control module.an actuator won't cause the fan to run, they control air flow.Automatic temp system modules are known to fail. I had to chang the engine computer on my 02 town and country. Do I have to take it to chrysler to get it reprogramed for my van?

the town and country has a PCM ( power control module, located in front to the battery ) and a FCM ( front control module located on the front of the relay center next to the battery ) if either module is replaced they need to be programed with a DRBIII, so you will need to see your dealer.

Got a 1987 chevy suburban and it wont start and it is getting fuel and cranking over

Check for vacuum leaks and for spark. The most common problem Ive seen is the ignition control module. Those are notorious on the older chevys. It is located on the bottom of the distributor.

87 buick century won't shift out of first

The first thing is to check the transmission fluid level, then check the vacuum modulator located out on the side of the transmission, and be certain that the vacuum line is connected to the vacuum modulator, and that the vacuum line also has no leaks and it is connected to an intake manifold vacuum source. If you remove the vacuum line from the vacuum modulator and if there is any transmission fluid is in the vacuum line then the vacuum modulator is faulty and it will need to be replaced.

I have a 1987 crown vic that I purchased, the prev. owner said that they had the O/drive disconnected as they only drove it in town, all the mech. linkage is connected, it only drives in first, so what do...

Just perhaps they didn't know the vacuum modulator either is shot, disconnected or suffering from a broken vacuum hose.Jack up the car and look for the modulator,it's a round cylinder that sticks out of the transmission housing. It has a vacuum hose attached to it.The amount of vacuum your engine creates causes the trans to shift to the next gear.Pull of the vacuum line, take a clean WHITE rag or napkin.Wipe the modulator where the hose was connected and check it for transmission fluid.A white rag will show the red fluid as being red,any other color rag and you won't be able to tell it from motor oil which is light brown in color.Red oil, change the modulator because it's leaking. You can verify it by creating a vacuum at the modulator port.Don't create a vacuum by sucking on the end of a hose, unless you crave the taste of trans oil.Use a vacuum pump.It will hold the vacuum pressure 15 to 20 lbs., no more than that or you can ruin the modulator your self! Now if there's no oil and it holds a vacuum trace the vacuum line and look for leaks.Connect your pump to the line and create a vacuum, you'll find that leak in a heartbeat!Good luck!
