Fuel filter location

There is no inline fuel filtwer, it is part of the fuel pump intake micro screen. It is never in need of replqacing unless the fuel pump fails.

Where is the fuel filter located in my 2000 chevy silverado

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. An easy way to find the fuel filter is by going to the gas cap. Get under the vehicle where you put fuel into it at and follow the gas lines toward the front of the engine. You should run right into the fuel filter.

Is there more than one fuel filter on a 2000 chevy cavalier?

There is only one fuel filter on this car. There is a strainer in the fuel tank which also acts as a filter also, but not usually referred to as the fuel filter. I hope I was able to clarify this for you and thank you for asking at Fixya.com.

It will be on your frame rail.

If you have fuel injection, it'll be in your gas tank part of the fuel pump module.

How do you get to the fuel filter in a 2000 chevy mote carlo?

The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the rear half of the car.
The system is also under pressure so be prepared to lose some fuel.
Follow the fuel lines under the body from the tank in the event your are still having trouble locating the filter.
You really can't miss it once you are under the car.
Good luck.

How to change fuel filter on 2000 chevy malibu

the fuel filter is located just in front of fuel tank. relieve fuel pressure, you can do this by removing fuel pump fuse and running engine until it quits, or you can relieve pressure by shraider valve in engine compartment. squeeze the white plastic disconnect tabs together and pull the inlet line away from filter, then detach the outlet line from the filter, then unbolt the filter mounting bracket to remove fuel filter.

2003 chevy cavilar, won't stay running

It sounds like you may have a cloged fule filter, start with that and then check to see if your fuel pump had gone bad. Most likely it's your fuel filter if it's never been changed. The other common problems is a partial clog to the injectors but i don't think that is the problem here. Good luck
