Don't have manual, need to know what lights on dash stand for
Had a light that just came on,need to know what it means.
I have the same problem on a 1995 Mercury Mystique. The symbol is shaped like a gift box with a tag on the top with what looks like the recycling "x" on it. It also looks like half a battery with just one post if that helps any.

If all your lite bulbs are out, or don't work as you say in your dash, there is normally only two places this can be. Number one, make sure that your dimmer for your dash did not get accidentally turned off. Meaning a lot of cars and trucks as you know, you can turn down or turn up the brightness of your dash lights by a couple methods. Some have like a dial on there dash area, to turn, or some are on the actual light switch that turns. If this is all on and working good, then the only other place it normally would be is a fuse. And that should me marked as dash lights and in your fuse panel. Check in your operation manual for location of fuse box. Or if you know where this is, then open up and look for a fuse that would say, dash lights or interior lights. I hope this helps. MIke
It depends on what warning light is on! In any case, from your description and experience, it would be your engine 'Oil' warning light: it comes on when there is not enough lubrication (thus the overheating) flowing because of low oil pressure: immediately check your oil leveland top up as required) and make sure that change your oil and oil filter as soon as possible as it is a very damaging condition and the engine could seize. Hope it helps: let me know hoe you go.
Horn looking light is the transmission
a bomb looking light with an x through it is a light bulb
red square is the radiator
red square with a plus and minus on is the alternator/battery
a whale squiting out of a spout is the washer fluid, and the rest are self explanatory
You can check them with a "OBD2" diagnostic scanner. Once you find out what is wrong, You can turn the light off via the scanner. If you have an Auto Zone store near you, the have a tool loan program. All you have to do is leave a deposit and when you return the scanner they will give all your money back. Hope this helps.
