How to Jump start 95 Jetta

Forget about the alarm . The problem is your trying to jump start a dead battery. Replace the battery and reset the cpu with a code reader and the problem should be solved.

You need to charge your battery up more. Either get a battery charger or leave the jumper cables hooked up for a longer period of time.
Your battery was probably completely dead. You might even need a new battery...they really don't like to be completely drained.

It could be the starter, but i would start with having your battery load tested. Sounds like that is the problem. I hope this helps.

Keep the jumper cables on the car as the alarm goes off, take your ignition key and open & close the drivers door lock. This resets the alarm.

had same problem outside restaurant, pulled cable off battery but every time i reconnected the alarm would go off, wound up calling AAA he was stumped and called a friend of his who said use key to open trunck.we laughed at him as we tried it but............................it worked, the alarm turned off and no problems since (2 mos)

The immobilizer feature was tripped when the alarm went off. It sounds like the battery was indeed dead. My Nissan 300ZX used to trip the alarm when I jump-started it, although my Audi A4 does not. When the alarm is going off, you have to disarm it with the key or key fob first, or you won't be able to start it. Try putting the key in the door, lock it, unlock it, lock it again, and unlock it again, just to make sure you get a couple of arm/disarm cycles, then try starting it.

I have a 95 camry 2.2 and it did the same thing. i helped jump a buddy's car then the horn started sounding. so i called the parts service for toyota they told me theres a switch under your dash, on the floor board, right above where the left is placed. there was a switch, he told me to flip it then my car started working no problem. that was about 1 yr 1/2 ago.

If you hook up the jumper cables can you disable the alarm with the remote?

Most likely the two alarms caused the injector drivers in the ECU to go South. Check with Known good ECU

you need to disconnect the alarm under dash and connect a jumper wire across the big red/red with black wire
