Rearend Leakage 04 Trailblazer

We have a leak in the rear of our trailblazer. We do believe it is a seal, but we don't know which one and about how much it would cost to fix. Also, is it hard to fix.

You may want to take it to a shop and have them replace the seal to make sure its done right and without damage.

What does it mean when my 04 trailblazer is stuck in reverse

Jungle, sounds like the shift cable broke or detached from shift lever/linkage. Have a good shop diagnose and estimate repair.

Leaking transmision fluid from drive shaft seal

You want to know if you need a new seal because it is leaking

Why would you ask that?

You ask if the driveshaft, just one day decides to move to the rear

Again --where would it go,it is attached to the rear differental
yoke,it has no where to go

You need to get under the vehicle & look at what your asking
about

Just plain silly

Yes --you need to replace the seal

The seal leaks, does the transmission even have any
fluid in it or will that fail next?

Cant find refrigerent leak on 04 trailblazer

Mechanics use dye or a device that "sniffs" for leaks since the gas is hard to see.
Putting in fluorescent dye allows you to see the dye with a black light.
The sniffer picks up a component of the gas.
If the system was charged before you replaced the compressor, the leak should be at one of the gaskets you replaced, or you have a defective compressor which is leaking at the pulley seal.

ON MY 2002 TRAILBLAZER, I HAVE TO KEEP ADDIND POWER STEERING FLUID ABOUT EVERY 5 MILES OR MORE. I DON'T SEE IT ON THE GROUND FROM LEAKING OUT, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT'S GOING. DOES ANYON

Ho Thomas, It sounds as if the leakage is when the vehicle is being driven that the leakage occurs. That means it is either from the pump or the box or the pipes going to and from. The leakage happens when the vehicle is being driven If you look at those areas you will see where it is wet with fluid and you'll then identify where the problem is. Regards John

05 Trailblazer ext. oil leaking from bottom pulley

Sounds like the front main seal or front oil pan seal. Its not leaking down from the top of the engine is it? If not , have the front seals checked.

Leaking fluid from rear end

hello, fluid leaking out of rear end is probably the pinion shaft seal, its were the drive shaft hooks to the rearend, you have to drop drive shaft, take yoke off rearend, or if it is,more further towards the back, were wheels are, then you need axle shaft seal, you have one on both sides on the rearend, behind the drums, where the back brakes are, also look and see if its coming from back of transmission, where drive shaft goes into the transmission, see if you can tell what color fluid is, if its red, its probably rear transmission seal, where drive shaft goes into the transmission.
