You Need to Replace the Belt Tensioner for this Repair. Until then you can go to the Local Auto Parts Supply and get a Can of Fan belt Dressing, This will make it Quite for a while. Spray it Right on the Belt and Pulleys. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Chirping noise when accelerating

If it is a belt noise, sprinkling baby powder on the belt will make the noise go away. Apply liberaly with engine off onto the belt and start the vehicle. The belt may have gotten coolant on it and this will cause the chirp. Also a defective belt tensioner will cause the belt to chirp

What is the growling noise coming from my 94 civic motor

Water pump or pulley most likely.

Always replace water pump and pulleys when you do the timing belt.

Also you may have overtightened the belt.

NOTE, Kevlar belts will make a "whirring" noise for a few thousand miles after replacement, but not a growling.

My 2005 trailblazer makes a bird chirping noise. Exactly like birds. My mechanic replaced the belt but it is still making the noise.

If is a serpentine belt, take it out and check the belt tensioner. some of them have a screw that allows for tightening/loosing the belt. Sometimes it looses some bearings and it could chirp.

The a/c tensioner sometimes get cocked when the spring inside is bad. Sometimes you need adjust the p/s pulley inward or outward depending on how the squeak changes.

There's a chirping birdlime noise when the car is

Sounds like your serpentine belt is dried out.Replace your belt make sure belt tensioner is ok,or you can make sure that it is your belt by using a old candle or belt dressing that you can purchase from your local parts store. While engine is running VERY carefully touch the candle to the ribbed side of the belt and let the wax rub off onto the belt the squeak or chirp should change or go away.Or just spray the belt dressing on per the directions on the can.

Chirping noise at 2000 rpm

An easy way to get a good idea of where the noise is coming from is to use a short peice of wood like a broom handle , hold it to your ear and touch different places around the where the noise seems to come from. If it is in the belt area spray brake clean in small bursts at each pulley noting when the squek quiets or goes away.

Chirping noise from engine compartment on 1993 Camry

Sounds like a drive belt. With the car off, rub each belt on the underside of the belt, one at a time, with wax from a candle or crayon.Cover the entire width of the belt and 10 to 12 inches of it's length then start the car. If it is the noisy belt it will change or eliminate the noise.Do this for each belt shutting off the engine each time.Change all the belts even if you find just one bad one as the others won't be far behind.
