Your Tires are Out of Balance. Get them Rotated and Balanced, Should fix Ya right up!
SOURCE: 2001 madza shakes
This usually is just either a wheel got scraped into a curb or hit a pot hole so the wheel is off balance or one of the weights came off and still it would make it off balance but its a easy and cheap fix you can either rotate your own tires and put the fronts to the back and backs up to the front or take it to a tire place and have them balance each wheel it costs about 10 bucks per wheel to be done, if you have any other questions just let me know id be glad to hel[ also if you get a chance if you could rate me it would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
Steve

he said power steering? wtf?! if it's air in the lines, he messed up, which I highly doubt it is in the first place. See, depending on the method of pushing the pistons back in, he should of bleed the lines when the job was done. I belive, when he "turned" the rotors it wasn't quite centered and now when you're stepping on the breaks, it's causing a "shaking" through your steering system. what's happening is, your break pads aren't in contact with your rotor the whole time while breaking because the rotor wasn't level when it was "turned." so your brakes are gripping half the rotor and not the over half causing the "shaking." And in cause you were wondering, the term "turned" basicaly means shaving off the glossy film on your rotor so that the new brake pads can and will grip your rotor better for improved stopping power. Which should be done everytime when brakes are changed. Now, as of him messing up when turning the rotors, don't be mad. That happens. A fraction of an inch can cause this and is easily fixed. Just be polite and ask him to return the rotors. If he refuses, then start getting rude about it. Redoing the rotors, shouldn't take more then a hour and at no cost to you cause it wasn't done in the first place. Sorry for rambling on.

Jack front end. Use both hands to check driver and passenger side tires for slight wobble. If wobbles, you have a bad ball joint. Otherwise inspect tie-rod end for wear.

Symptoms indicate tires out of balance. Can't necessarily tell by looking. If you want to troubleshhot yourself, try rotating front tires to back. If it gets better, you know the front tires were out of balance.
