2005 scion xb Stereo problem

I have a 2005 scion xb and something is wrong with the audio system and i cant figure out what it is. I believe that water leaked in through the front window and ruined something. The stereo turns on and recieves the CD's, but the only thing is that i cant hear a thing! I want to know what part of the stereo is ruined and how i can fix it.
Thanks!

    Hey...

I was told that i needed a speaker output... What is a speaker output? and could that also be a solution to the problem im having with the stereo? If not.... What would i do to replace the head unit?

    Thanks!

If the Stereo Got wet, The first thing that will stop is the Internal Amplifier. On these Pioneer Stereo's the Only thing that You can do is Replace the Head Unit. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

No, You do not need a Speaker Output. It would do Nothing to Help you Repair this. The Best way to get one is From Scion But, I have seen these on Ebay before. You might Check there But, Be Warned! They Could be Stolen Units. These are Pretty hot for Thieves Right Now.

No Problem! There are two Silver Plastic Trims one on each side of the Console. These just pill off, Start at the Top and They will come off. Behind Those are the Mounting Screws for the Console Units. Just Unscrew the 4 Screws for the Stereo and it will slide Right Out.

2005 Scion xB rain water leaking into Passenger side floor board

Most likely cause is a leaky windshield seal. This can be caused normally by one of three things.
(1) Improperly installed windshield
(2) Rusting metal at seal location
(3) Overpressure blowout of the seal caused by excessively loud bass from audio system (happens more often than you may believe).

Re-sealing the windshield will solve the water problem once you determine the cause.

Driver's side door lock not responding to keyless remote or to interior switch - 2004 Scion xB

I had that issue with my scion xb. When I installed my audio system somehow the vibrations loosened the button wires clip . I removed the door panel and clicked it back in, also it could be a dead solenoid or disconnected door wire that goes from the 'noid to the door lock pin.

Does my stock pioneer stereo in my 05 xb have an ipod adapter

No i have pulled out the stereo myself and there is no port for it, that option is now offered on the 2008 which sucks because they where giving ipods away at the dealership when i got my 05 Scion xb makes no sense huh.

No they do not, but if you have an Aux plug in the front of the player, which some XB's come with, then you would just use that instead of tearing out your original player
